Dan Olmstead (Richard Nixon) is pleased to return to New City Stage where he first appeared in Terrorism in 2012. Other recent credits include: Mike in Good People, Salieri in Amadeus, Constable in Fiddler on the Roof, Maurice in Fallen Angels, Melersh in Enchanted April, Bernard in The Constant Wife and and Slim in Of Mice Men at the Walnut St. Theatre, Claudius in Hamlet, Orsino in Twelfth Night, Antonio in Measure for Measure and Leontes in A Winter's Tale at Theatre of Monmouth, Dracula in Dracula, Cpt. Keller in Miracle Worker and Manningham in Gaslight at Gretna Theatre. He can also occasionally be found on the small screen as Tom Hank's "little" brother in the film Philadelphia. Dan holds an MFA in acting from Temple University.
Russ Widdall (David Frost) is well-known to friends of New City Stage Company. His recent performance as Robert F. Kennedy in the critically acclaimed production of RFK stands in stark contrast to the glitzy, jet-setting lifestyle of David Frost. Russ could not be more delighted or more exhausted. Other recent credits include the Philadelphia professional premiere of Hurlyburly in March as well as his directorial debut with the world premiere of Asymmetric by Mac Rogers. Other stage credits: Polaroid Stories (UArts/PhillyFringe), Henry IV: Part I (Lantern Theatre), The Diary of Anne Frank (EgoPo Classic Theatre), Terrorism and Why Torture is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them (New City Stage). He has extensive commercial credits and was recently seen annoying Patriot fans for DirectTV. Television includes The Wire, Hack and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Film work includes HBO's Game Change with Julianne Moore, National Treasure 2 and My One and Only. Russ has over 25 years of acting experience and is a Temple University graduate
J Hernandez (Jim Reston) is making his New City Stage debut this season with Frost/Nixon and he couldn't be happier about it. J arrived to Philadelphia this past Winter where he played Iago in the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre's production of Othello. Other companies he's worked for in the past include the Shakespeare Theater Company, NC Shakes, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Ash Lawn Opera, and Live Arts. J would like to thank his families in PA, NC, and TX for all their love and much needed support. Next up: Romeo and Juliet at Philly Shakes in March.
Jered McLenigan (Jack Brennan) is an artist currently working out of Philadelphia. Recent: The Woman in Black (Act II Playhouse). Upcoming: Julius Caesar (Lantern Theater), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Walnut Street Theatre Studio 3). He previously appeared with New City Stage Company as Todd in their acclaimed production of Pterodactyls.
Sam Sherburne (Bob Zelnick) is an actor, director, and teacher who was last seen with New City Stage as Kyle Sligo in American Sligo. Other Philadelphia credits include New City Stage's inaugural Voices for a New City production of Midnight on a School Night as the Conspiracy Theorist and Elias True, the Jailer in Two Noble Kinsmen, and the title role in Cymbeline at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater. Sam holds an MFA from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL where favorite roles included Frank Keller (Red Herring), Willis Toome (Talking Pictures), Bottom (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and Big Stone (Eurydice). Directing credits include The Laramie Project at Villanova University, Almost, Maine and Eukiah (both at FAU), and Dennis Moritz's Piece by Piece for Philly's Primary Stages New Play Series. He is also active with the sketch comedy troupe High Dramma. He was recently named the Education Director at New City Stage, and can next be seen as John Hinckley Jr. in New City's world premiere production of Hinckley in March.
Tim Dugan (John Birt/Ollie) is thrilled and grateful to make both his New City Stage and professional Philadelphia debut. He serves as Associate Artistic Director, Education Director and is on the Board of Directors of Saratoga Shakespeare Company. Also with SSC: The Merry Wives of Windsor (Frank Ford), Twelfth Night (Orsino), Merchant of Venice (Antonio), As You Like It (Orlando), Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), The Tempest (Caliban) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Demetrius). Other favorite credits include The Crucible (John Proctor) and The Marriage of Bette & Boo (Boo)-Temple University Theaters; Song For My Father, Tuesdays with Morrie-Oldcastle Theatre Company; And Then There Were None-NYSTI; Noises Off- C-R Productions. Tim is in his second year at Temple University pursuing his MFA in Acting. Other training: Shakespeare & Co., American Conservatory Theatre, The Actors Center. David Bardeen (Swifty Lazar/Mike Wallace/Studio Manager) is thrilled to be working at New City Stage Company for the first time with old friends and new. Jenna Kuerzi (Evonne Goolagong / Stewardess/Ensemble) is a 2012 graduate of Rowan University with a concentration in Acting/Directing and Musical Theatre and is super excited to be making her debut with New City Stage in Frost/Nixon. Selected recent credits: Xanadu (Kira/Clio) and Bat Boy: The Musical (Shelley Parker) with City Theater Company in Wilmington, DE. How to Succeed... Wade Andrew Corder (Manolo Sanchez/Studio Technician/Ensemble) is thrilled to be performing in Frost/Nixon with New City Stage. Favorite credits include The Elephant Man with Fever Dream Rep, Mother Courage with Theatre of the Seventh Sister, and The Government Inspector at The Ohio State University. Wade has a BA in Theatre from The Ohio State University. He would also like to than≠k his amazing fiancee Carly for all the love and support she's given him.
Ginger Dayle (Assistant Stage Manager, Dramaturge, Pat Nixon, Ensemble) is the founder and now Director of Institutional Advancement of New City Stage. She is thrilled to be involved in all aspects of Frost/Nixon as the dramaturge, stage manager and on the stage as well. She directed the hit play RFK, which just closed it's third production at the Adrienne Theatre and recently appeared in the regional premiere of American Sligo by Adam Rapp. She founded the company while attending the theatre graduate program at Villanova University in 2006. She is an actress, dancer, and choreographer who works in Philadelphia, Allentown, Wilmington, and NYC. She is on staff at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan and was a featured dancer in NBC's canceled (but popular!) show Smash. She has performed with Pennsylvania Ballet and the Royal Ballet of London and is the resident choreographer for Pennsylvania Youth Theatre. She has appeared in several productions at the Walnut Street Theatre, First State Children's Theater, New City Stage, and many others. She'll make her playwrighting debut with Hinckley in the spring. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (BA.. Economics, M.S. Organizational Dynamics). She is currently pursuing yet another graduate degree at New York University in Fundraising.
