James Stover recently directed The Amish Project for The Renegade Company at Society Hill Playhouse. Karina Croskrey is originally from California, and received her BA in Acting from CSU Fresno and her MFA in Acting Pedagogy from the University of Alabama. Most recently Karina was seen in Agatha Christie's Black Coffee at the Hedgerow Theatre. Other Philadelphia area credits include: A Prometheus Bound: A Folk Musical (Renegade Classic Theatre), Artaud Unbound, Company, and Play (EgoPo), A Gravedigger's Tale (Walking Fish Theatre), Dracula (Tribe of Fools), Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical (EXposed Theatre Company), the In My Body Project and Tonyand Tina's Wedding. She has also worked on projects with Digital Reality Films, Inc., Parallax Theatre Co., Radio Hound Productions and Philly Primary Stages. Other favorite credits include: El Mercader de Venecia (Havana, Cuba) and The Heiress (Tuscaloosa, AL). Karina also teaches Theatre at the Community College of Philadelphia.
Jamison Foreman is so honored to be in his first production with New City Stage. He was last seen in Voices of Chirstmas with Theatre Horizon, Act a Lady with Azuka Theatre, and Miss Saigon at the Walnut Street Theatre. Also a playwright, Jamison's musical Realm of the Unreal was produced in the 2010 Philly Fringe Festival. A proud graduate of the Univeristy of the Arts, he'd like to give much thanks to Rosey for this opportunity.
Eric Alexander Goetschel is making his debut at New City and couldn't be more grateful for being given the opportunity to work with the professional cast and crew of this production. He recently graduated from University of the Arts and spent last summer as an apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
Sarah Gliko was last seen as Charlotte in Charlotte's Web at the Arden Theatre. Other favorite credits include: Pumpgirl (Inis Nua Theatre), The Ugly One, The Musical of Musicals, and Barrymore nominated The Irish & How They Got That Way (Walnut Street Theatre), John and Jen (Act II Playhouse), Hail Mary! (Montgomery Theatre), and Untitled Project #213 (Philadelphia Fringe Festival). Next, Sarah will be working on Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story with Walnut Street Theatre.
Dan Olmstead has worked extensively throughout the Philadelphia region over the past 20+ years, and is delighted to make his debut at one of our newest Equity theatres, New City Stage. More recent credits include: Salieri in Amadeus, Constable in Fiddler on the Roof, Maurice in Fallen Angels, Melersh in Enchanted April, Bernard in The Constant Wife and Slim in Of Mice and Men at the Walnut Street Theatre; Claudius in Hamlet, Orsino in Twelfth Night, Antonio in Measure for Measure and Leontes in A Winter's Tale at Theatre of Monmouth; Dracula in Dracula, Cpt. Keller in Miracle Worker and Manningham in Gaslight at Gretna Theatre. He can also occasionally be found on the small screen as Tom Hank's "little" brother in the film Philadelphia. Dan holds an MFA in acting from Temple University.
Russ Widdall last appeared with New City in Sam Shepard's Savage/Love and Tongues during the Philly Fringe Festival. He played Carlson in Of Mice and Men at the Walnut Street Theatre (Barrymore Award - best play) and recently played Mr. Van Daan in EgoPo's The Diary of Anne Frank. Other credits include Polaroid Stories for UArts/Philly Fringe, Henry IV: Part I at Lantern Theater and When You Comin Back, Red Ryder?, Miss Witherspoon and Unidentified Human Remains…all with New City Stage. He has extensive commercial experience and was recently seen annoying Patriots fans for DirecTV. Television includes The Wire, Hack, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Film credits include Game Change with Julianne Moore (coming soon to HBO), National Treasure 2, and My One and Only (where he got to push Renee Zellweger out of a limo). Russ has over 20 years of acting experience and is a Temple University graduate. Russ also serves as Co-Artistic Director here at New City
Susan Giddings is happy to make her debut with New City Stage and to reunite with Rosey Hay (Carthaginians, REV Theatre/Philly Fringe). Susan has worked with Theatre Horizon (The Credeaux Canvas), South Camden Theatre (Last Rites), Flashpoint Theatre (boom), Amaryllis Theatre (Rock Doves), HATG Theatre (Wit), Theatre Exile (Princess Yvona), Lantern Theatre (A Doll's House), and Iron Age Theatre (A Skull in Connemara and The Cripple of Inishmaan), among others. Susan recently directed Brilliant Traces, performed at PCS, Swarthmore, and The Theatre of the Seventh Sister, in Lancaster.
Drucie McDaniel is delighted to return to New City Stage, having been seen (but mostly heard) in Talk Radio. As an actor, Drucie has done film (Girl, Interrupted; Jersey Girl; Fallen; Twelve Monkeys, The Narrows, Explicit Ills, The Silver Linings Playbook) television (Law & Order, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, The Adversaries, All My Children, HBO's You Don't Know Jack, The Onion News Network) and stage, including the Wilma, InterAct, 1812 Productions, Delaware Theatre Company, Act II Playhouse, Brat Productions, Walnut Street Theatre. She has done extensive national television/radio commercials and international voiceover work. Drucie has written / produced / directed for radio, TV, industrial documentary film. (PBS, Nickelodeon, ski Industries America, U.S. Dept of Energy, the U.S. Dept of Defense, Apple Computers) and theatre (Philadelphia International Festival for the Arts, Walnut Street Theatre, Foundation Theatre, The National Constitution Center, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, The Discovery Theatre/Smithsonian Institution, The Village Gate/NYC Project Arts Center and The Abby Theatre/Dublin, Ireland), 10 as years Artistic Director of The Philadelphia Theatre Caravan, and The Rosenbach (where she also appears every Bloomsday, June 16th as James Joyce's Molly Bloom). An acting coach for over 25 years, Drucie teaches at The Actors Center, Walnut Street Theatre, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of the Arts (where she also directs). Drucie sings and plays with an Irish band, The Connemara Codfish Company (find us on Facebook!) who can be seen on and around this St. Patrick's Day at Bridget Foy's.
