New City Stage Company is currently casting our second production of the 200910 season, "When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?' by Mark Medoff, directed by William Roudebush, which performs December 4, 2009 through January 11, 2010 at the Adrienne Theatre. We are seeking both union and non-union actors, and this production is Barrymore eligible. Rehearsals start in November.
Audition is this Saturday, October 3 at the Adrienne Theatre from 12 to 5 PM. The call back is Sunday, October 4 from 6 to 9 PM.
If you have worked for us or the director before, please send an email to Casting Director Ginger Dayle so that you may just attend the callback. Otherwise, please attend the general call on Saturday.
Sides will be at the callback.
For Saturday October 3rd: Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue NO LONGER THAN TWO MINUTES.
Looking for:
Stephen: 19-22 small town kid...big time wanna be..all style and very little substance...completely at a loss as to what to do with his life.
Angel: 22-28 Lonely overweight well endowed small town girl going nowhere. Sweet pretty polite.
Clark: 35-45; Officious, overbearing self important manager of a small diner in southern New Mexico.
Clarisse: 30-45 attractive , refined classical violinist ( a bonus if you actually play violin)..elitist, frustrated with her husband as well as her place in life.
Richard: 35-45 Clarisse's husband. Clean cut, straight arrow, polite rules follower with a deep seeded anger and frustration.
Teddy: 26-32 Funny, outrageous, provocative and powerful. Able to dominate the stage and make every man in the audience cross his legs.
Cheryl: 18-22 Teddy's girlfriend. sexy, quiet, well endowed and in great physical condition.
Lyle: Already cast
