General Information

| New City Stage Company operates under a Special Appearance agreement with Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers in the United States. New City casting representatives participate in the annual Equity and non-Equity auditions held each June by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. We do occasionally have open calls and calls for resumes; watch this space for details. We hire both equity and non-equity actors and stage managers. The number of equity contract varies per production and is at the discretion of Actors’ Equity Association. |

Internships
|
| New City Stage Company internships are designed to provide insight and hands-on experience for a specific technical or administrative area of the theatre. We offer several types of internships on a rolling basis. We have had many successful interns from the University of the Arts, and internships arranged a semester in advance are eligible for college credit. |

Arts Administration
|
| Administrative Internships provide specialized opportunities in the areas of marketing, development, production management, or general administration. Interns are typically engaged for specific projects or productions during the season, or for specialized departmental internships during the summer. Each applicant's experience is unique as we work together to define specific goals and requirements. |

Production Department
|
| Production Internships are available in stage management, lighting, sound, props, costuming, and scenic construction. Interns develop production skills by assisting in the build, rehearsal, technical rehearsal, and performance of our productions. Running crew placements that pay a weekly stipend are also available. Production internships help aspiring theatre professionals build experience and make important career connections. |

Ushers
|
| Ushers are needed to take tickets, seat patrons, distribute show programs, and provide excellent customer service to patrons at New City Stage Company performances. In exchange for your service, you are able to see the show for free, however we now offer permanent usher positions that offer a stipend and other great benefits! This is a great way to get involved in the arts and have fun while supporting your community. Dress code is casual business attire (no jeans, t-shirts, ripped or cropped clothing).
